Weather is Climate. However, weather is a daily thing, while Climate is weather spread out over a week. Climate Change is the theory that our globe is reaching new overall temperatures, and causing different weather patterns in different parts of the world. Global Warming, on the other hand, is simply the theory that our globe is warming at a constant rate.
The reason we ought to care so much about Climate Change at its current state is due to how much destruction we are now seeing from it. The most notable of these is the melting of the Polar Ice Caps, which is leaving polar bears, seals, and penguins without a home. Year-round sea ice has also vanished drastically since the 1980’s, which is why we should be caring for it now.
Our project doesn’t necessarily demonstrate our knowledge of Climate Change, but rather the knowledge of future generations. The students from St. Columba were given a briefing on what Climate Change is, and then they spoke about what they knew in the interviews.
During this project I really learned how to manage my time. Our group made sure to get all the filming done early, so that we could have time set aside to make the film itself, and also get the poster boards ready for display.
My greatest strength was probably my perseverance. I kept on working on the film, even when the editing software was being weird, and the interviews at St. Columba rolled smoothly.
TBNA Infographic Project
Description:
This project was focused on how Friendships affect adolescents. Some ideas mentioned are how Friendships influence adolescents, help them, connect with them, and share relationships with them. The infographic was primarily used to represent how necessary Friendships are to adolescents.
Personal Reflection:
A. My biggest challenge during this project was finding enough resources. Most of my resources were full of information, but I was only able to find two quality sources. Those sources were the Newport Academy, and the US Department of Health and Human Services. Finding a third resource was difficult, and ended up not happening.
B. My greatest success had to be the final product. While there was still open space to fill in, I think my Infographic came out great. I am especially proud of my use of photos, and how they relate to each topic discussed. One in particular is the Support section, where I used the hands to show people being helped, and the heartbreak to show those who are let down.
C. If I were to do this project again, I would plan accordingly. I would lay out my schedule on what needs to be done and in what order, and how to do it. I would look for as many resources as possible, making sure they are all credible. I would also gather all relevant images I could think of. Finally, the Infographic would be neatly organized and properly displayed, making sure that all necessary information is presented well.
