During this project, we learned how to perform basic coding on the Texas Instruments CX-II calculator. We developed skills on programming, applying these to wheeled rovers, capable of drawing shapes. Many different methods and attempts were made at successful drawings, some having a better end result than others.
After getting a basic feel for drawing with the rovers, we were given the challenge of drawing specific shapes. Some of these included a basic triangle, up to a six sided star, and single lined house. Some of these took plenty of trial and error, whereas others were completed on the first attempt. While some, if not all drawings did not match up at the starting point, it was due to the bot sometimes dragging itself unintentionally in a certain direction, or getting thrown off while turning. |
