During this project, we had to demonstrate our previously obtained knowledge of the types of photographs. We had to show 5 examples of the Rule of Thirds, Diagonals, Symmetry, Asymmetry, and the Golden Section. All of the photos had to be taken by us, and could not be taken from anywhere on the internet.
Project Reflection
What I learned from this project is that it's all about the placement of the camera. You have to find the right height and angle of a photograph in order for it to stand out. Filters can be used, but are only really good if you need to make the photo stand out more, or for refining. Something equally as important as the camera itself is understanding the basics of photography (Rule of Thirds, Diagonals, Symmetry, etc.) Without knowing the basic kinds of photographs, and how they are composed, means that even though you may have taken a great picture, it doesn't have the correct composition to be an eye catcher. However, sometimes these rules can be broken. The rules can be modified, or even merged, to create better images. Breaking the rules happens a lot more often than one would expect, especially with those who are new to photography. You can still make great photos without following the rules.
