This year in Precalculus, I feel like my skills as a mathematician have improved significantly. This was mainly in two areas: Communication, and Reflection. The two actually go hand-in-hand, so to speak. I was able to effectively communicate a challenging problem on multiple occasions, such as the POW and Writeup shown above. Furthermore, it improved my ability to reflect on the process and justification of these problems while explaining them in broken down terms. In terms of my growth as an Osprey, that feels a bit harder to pinpoint. I'd say this would be placed under Perseverance, as I pulled through not only the above unit, but also the end of this year when things got difficult. While my grades may not have been beautiful, it definitely gave me some insight on how I need to prepare for next year. Make a schedule, set daily tasks, break assignments up into small, easily handled pieces. Finally, Precalculus itself was an enjoyable, yet stressful class for me. Math has always been a class I'm capable of working in just fine, but the problem is my lack of willingness, alongside how easily a large problem can stress me out. I would often fall behind simply because a problem was too intimidating for me to try and approach, so I'd sideline it for far too long. Yet I do hope to improve by the aforementioned "breaking assignments up" idea, because once I understand the math, or the concepts being taught, it always becomes extremely enjoyable for me.
